The principal of a government school in Rajasthan’s Chittorgarh was caught kissing a female teacher on CCTV following which they have been suspended due to inappropriate behaviour. Videos of them kissing, hugging, and engaging in indecent acts inside the school premises went viral on social media. In another video, the principal has been caught chewing tobacco while sitting at his office desk in the school.
An inquiry committee has been set up and a preliminary investigation is underway, District Education Officer Rajendra Sharma told reporters. “A video of the school went viral. We have initiated the preliminary investigation. Both the principal and the teacher have been suspended. We have also formed an inquiry committee. They will report to us within 2-3 days. We will take appropriate action and punish them,” he said.

Earlier in October last year, Rajasthan’s education department had suspended the teacher of a government school for allotting random marks to students without checking their answer sheets for the Class 10 Board exam. Senior teacher Nimisha Rani was suspended with immediate effect for giving arbitrary marks without checking the answer sheets of the science exam held for Class 10 of the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education, an official statement read.
The examiner did not evaluate the answer sheets of science in the Secondary Examination 2024 and gave marks only in total, which is a serious negligence, the education department had said, reported PTI. Education Minister Madan Dilawar had issued a suspension order against the teacher.
