RollAway has unveiled its Suite on Wheels concept, a luxury electric camping experience utilizing BrightDrop electric vans from General Motors.

Reservations for the 2025 launch are now open, marking a potential shift in the glamping sector.

Positioned as a new category in outdoor accommodations, RollAway describes its offering in a report by Telegrafi as “not a hotel. It’s not Airbnb… But it’s the ultimate stay on wheels.”

The Suite on Wheels features panoramic windows, a glass roof for stargazing, and swing-open rear doors designed to enhance the connection with nature.

The base stations, where the vehicles are stationed, provide high-end amenities, including a full kitchen, living and sleeping area, and a bathroom with a shower. Additional services include a virtual concierge, Starlink satellite internet, farm-to-table breakfast, and housekeeping.

The Suite on Wheels runs on a BrightDrop electric van, offering a 435 km range. This aligns with the growing industry focus on sustainability, an increasingly relevant factor for outdoor hospitality operators responding to shifting traveler expectations.

As demand for eco-friendly accommodations rises, RollAway’s model may present new opportunities for business owners looking to integrate electric and mobile lodging into their offerings.

Luxury glamping has been evolving for years, but RollAway’s approach could further redefine premium outdoor stays.

With early reservations now open, the level of interest in this concept may provide insight into broader trends within the outdoor hospitality sector.

Business owners considering new investment opportunities may see the mobile luxury model as a potential avenue for expansion, particularly as sustainability and experiential travel continue to shape consumer preferences.

It remains unclear how policy changes in the U.S. will impact the future of electric travel, though recent political discussions on EV adoption could influence industry dynamics.

However, as glamping continues to diversify, concepts like RollAway’s Suite on Wheels may offer valuable lessons for operators adapting to shifting market demands.
