A new report from Go RV Rentals, a leading platform specializing in RV rentals, reveals that rental prices across 24 major U.S. and Canadian cities have remained largely stable over the past five years.
According to a press release, the 2025 RV Rental Price Index Report provides a comprehensive analysis of current pricing trends, showing that the average cost to rent an RV in the U.S. is now $184 per night, nearly unchanged from last year’s $183.
Since 2020, RV rental prices have only increased by 4%, demonstrating consistent affordability despite inflation and shifts in travel demand.
“This year’s data confirms what we’ve seen over the past few years—RV rental prices have remained remarkably steady despite inflation and shifts in travel demand,” said David Kosofsky, founder of Go RV Rentals.
“This stability is great news for travelers looking for affordable and flexible vacation options,” David added.
The report provides a detailed breakdown of RV rental costs by type. In the U.S., Class A motorhomes average $313 per night, while Class B campervans and Class C motorhomes rent for $228 and $214 per night, respectively.
Travel trailers are more budget-friendly at $113 per night, with pop-up campers averaging $90 and toy haulers at $143 per night.
Among U.S. metro areas, Houston, Texas, leads as the most expensive city for RV rentals, with an average nightly rate of $198, followed closely by Austin, Texas ($197) and San Francisco, California ($193).
On the other end of the spectrum, Tampa, Florida, offers the most affordable RV rentals at $164 per night, followed by San Diego, California ($167) and Phoenix, Arizona ($166).
In Canada, the average RV rental price is $189 CAD per night, slightly down from last year’s $192 CAD. Rental costs by vehicle type vary, with Class A motorhomes averaging $310 CAD per night, Class B campervans at $225 CAD, and Class C motorhomes at $245 CAD.
Travel trailers rent for $129 CAD per night, pop-up campers for $88 CAD, and toy haulers for $139 CAD. Among Canadian cities, Toronto has the highest average rental price at $205 CAD per night, while Montreal is the most budget-friendly at $181 CAD.
