Registration is now open for the RV Technical Institute’s (RVTI) Level 3 Electronics specialty workshop, scheduled for March 19-20, at the institute’s training facility in Elkhart, Indiana.
The two-day course provides 15.5 hours of training and meets the requirements for Level 3 Electronics certification.
The workshop is designed for RV technicians who have already achieved Level 2 certification or higher. Attendees will receive training on key electronics components from leading suppliers, including Dish Outdoors, Winegard, ASA Electronics, and Lippert.
According to a News and Insights report of RVIA, the course curriculum includes two hours on satellite technology from Dish Outdoors and a four-hour session from Winegard covering additional satellite components.
ASA Electronics will lead a 1.5-hour training on controller area networks, while Lippert will conduct an eight-hour session on logic control and controller area networks.
Participation in the workshop costs $50. Early registration is encouraged. Technicians who fail to meet the prerequisite certification requirement will have their registration canceled and the fee forfeited.
This session is part of the RV Technical Institute’s expanded Level 3 training series for 2025. Following the success of the initial program last year, the institute is now offering two workshops per specialty instead of one. A second Level 3 Electronics workshop is scheduled for later in the year.
The initiative aims to make it easier for RV technicians to meet the necessary specialty hour requirements while advancing their expertise in key RV systems. The institute’s five-part workshop series covers multiple specialty areas, allowing participants to build their credentials through structured, hands-on training.
Technicians who complete all five Level 3 specialty workshops, including this electronics course, will earn their Level 4 Master Certification. The program is designed to enhance industry knowledge and ensure service professionals remain up to date with evolving RV technology.
