The Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association (RVDA) is accepting nominations for the James B. Summers (JBS) Award, the organization’s highest honor.
The award recognizes individuals who have made significant and ongoing contributions to RVDA and its members. The recipient will be announced at the 2025 RV Dealers Convention/Expo, scheduled for Nov. 10-14 at Paris Las Vegas.
The JBS Award was established in recognition of James B. Summers, the association’s former executive vice president and chief executive officer.
The award has been presented annually since 1986 when Summers was its first recipient. The honor is given to individuals who have dedicated substantial time and effort to advancing the association’s mission and supporting its members.
Eligible nominees must have at least five years of service to RVDA. Nominations should include a written narrative detailing the candidate’s contributions to the association and why they merit recognition.
The nomination process allows industry professionals to acknowledge peers demonstrating outstanding commitment to the RVDA.
The RV Dealers Convention/Expo is a platform for professional development, networking, and industry discussions. The event brings together RV dealers, manufacturers, and suppliers, offering a venue to recognize leadership and service through awards such as the JBS Award.
The deadline for nominations is May 19. Submissions should be sent via email to Julianne Ryder at [email protected]. RVDA encourages members to participate in the nomination process.
RVDA also remains focused on supporting its members through advocacy, education, and industry leadership. The award is part of a broader effort to highlight excellence within the RV sector and encourage continued dedication to the association’s goals.
