A luxury glamping business that gained national attention after its appearance on the television show Dragons’ Den is expanding into Cornwall. The Secret Garden Glamping, which received a £100,000 investment for 5% equity from investor Sara Davies, is set to open a new site in the region.

The company’s flagship location in Skelmersdale, Lancashire, has become one of the most popular glamping sites in the UK, with over 1.3 million social media followers and a two-year waiting list. It has been recognized as one of the top destinations in the sector, as reported by Business Cornwall.

Despite not disclosing the exact location of the new Cornwall site, founder Derry Green expressed excitement about the expansion, highlighting the potential to bring a “unique experience” to the area.

“The investment from Dragons’ Den gave us the resources and mentorship to turn our vision of multiple locations into reality,” Green said.

“Cornwall is the perfect place to launch our next chapter, offering a blend of natural beauty and an appetite for tourism that matches our ambition.”

The Secret Garden Glamping has garnered attention for its high-quality, luxury accommodations.

Located in four acres of woodlands in Lancashire, the glamping site features a variety of handcrafted units, including pods, lodges, yurts, and even a tree house, each designed to offer a five-star experience.

The site caters to couples, families, and groups seeking a peaceful retreat with modern amenities like private hot tubs, high-speed Wi-Fi, and en-suite facilities.

The Cornwall location is expected to follow in the footsteps of its Lancashire counterpart, with the aim of providing a similarly high standard of glamping.

A full launch is scheduled for early spring, with more details to be revealed in the coming weeks. Green’s goal is to continue expanding the brand and introduce more locations that combine luxury with nature in the UK’s growing glamping market.
