Saturday Night Live is crashing Today.
Five SNL cast members — both past and current — are joining Jenna Bush Hager on Today with Jenna & Friends as guest hosts this week: Amy Poehler, Ana Gasteyer, Mikey Day, Cheri Oteri, and Chloe Fineman. The comedians’ appearance on Today comes just before SNL50: The Anniversary Special on Sunday.
Hager announced the news last week, with current SNL cast member Ego Nwodim at her side as a guest host. “We’ve had so much fun hanging with an SNL star,” Hager said of her time with the “Lisa from Temecula” star. “You guys are gonna be celebrating the 50th anniversary of SNL all week next week, we know that, so we thought, ‘Let’s invite our pals over.'”
Hager has been accompanied by a number of celebrity guest hosts since her former cohost, Hoda Kotb, departed the show in January. Taraji P. Henson, Eva Longoria, Keke Palmer, and Michelle Buteau all reported for guest-hosting duty the week after Kotb’s exit, while Scarlett Johansson filled in for a full week on the show during week 2.
The third Kotb-less week saw four musicians join Hager on the show: Kelsea Ballerini, Kimberly Schlapman, Ciara, and Wynonna Judd. And Nwodim guest hosted for the entirety of week 4 last week.

Poehler’s episode will air on Monday, Gasteyer will appear on Tuesday, Day will guest host on Wednesday, Oteri arrives on Thursday, and Fineman will round out the week on Friday.
The Today lineup is just one of several ways NBC is celebrating SNL‘s 50th anniversary. Friday will see SNL50: The Homecoming Concert arrive at Radio City Music Hall, with an all-star lineup of past SNL musical guests performing, including Lady Gaga, David Byrne, Miley Cyrus, Bad Bunny, the Roots, Devo, Dave Grohl, the B-52s, and Post Malone.
The main event, though, is Sunday’s three-hour live special, SNL50: The Anniversary Special. It’s safe to expect dozens of notable SNL alums to appear on the show, just as they did at 2015’s 40th anniversary special. NBC has also announced a ton of former hosts that will be involved with the special, including Tom Hanks, Robert De Niro, Dave Chappelle, Kim Kardashian, Steve Martin, Ayo Edebiri, Pedro Pascal, and Adam Driver.
Additionally, two documentary projects celebrating 50 years of SNL have already premiered on Peacock: the four-part series SNL50: Beyond Saturday Night, which explores the process of casting, writing, and performing on the show with over 60 interviewees; and Ladies and Gentlemen… 50 Years of SNL Music, a feature-length doc highlighting some of the show’s most significant musical guests.
