Solo Leveling Season 2 Episode 5 is a good example of how the series is not just about fighting and obtaining overpowered abilities. In the latest episode, Sung Jin-woo continued his job as a miner in the dungeon. His work ethic impressed everyone around him, and they were happy to have him on their team. The leader even tried to recruit him full-time, but Sung Jin-woo turned him down.
One of the main highlights of the new Solo Leveling episode was the interaction between Sung Jin-woo and Cha Hae-in. The hero remained inside the dungeon in the hope of testing the power of the dungeon boss. However, Cha Hae-in found him outside the door during her routine check. The S-rank Hunter’s interest was piqued after she found Sung Jin-woo did not have a stinking smell. She even ordered one of the officials at her guild to look into Sung Jin-woo’s file.

A Man Who Lived Two Lives
Sung Jin-woo Is Reminded Of His Old Teammates
Sung Jin-woo’s job as a miner reminded him of his experiences as an E-rank Hunter. Song Jin-Yul and Lee Joohee were always kind to him and didn’t care about his low rank. Seeing the excited miners reminded Sung Jin-woo of them. After another quick session mining for the stones, Sung Jin-woo had the opportunity to become the equipment carrier for the strike team. His fellow miners tried to talk him out of it, but he had already made up his mind. So, he got ready to accompany them inside the dungeon.
As the team went inside, Sung Jin-woo immediately realized that something was off. However, one of the mages reassured him that they would be fine. Not long after entering the gate, the team was attacked by dungeon jackals. Sung Jin-woo noticed that the creatures had collars around their necks, implying they were being kept as pets.
Attack Of The Higher Orcs
Shortly after beating the jackals, the strike team found out who they belonged to. Several High Orcs emerged, and they immediately attacked the strike team. Despite the presence of so many A-rank Hunters, the High Orcs were easily able to push them on the back foot. It is safe to say that the entire team would have been annihilated if Sung Jin-woo hadn’t used his stealth to attack the High Orcs and throw them off balance.
After beating the High Orcs, the squad decided to go back to the gate and let the main team take over. However, they were shocked to see the gate being blocked by a barrier. Three of the magic users tried to undo it, but they failed horribly. The situation became worse when another group of High Orcs turned up behind them. Son Kihoon went to the front to face the High Orc. The High Orc’s body was taken over by Kargalgan, the dungeon boss. He gave them an ultimatum: go with the High Orcs to meet Kargalgan or meet their end at the end of the High Orcs. Son Kihoon took the rational option and went to meet the boss.
