A spring break getaway just got cheaper.
Southwest Airlines recently announced a ‘Splash Sale’ with deals up to 30 percent off of base fares. Simply by entering the promotional code 30SPLASH, travelers will be eligible to save on flights from March 18, 2025 through May 21, 2025. However, travelers will need to act fast as the promotional code expires on February 27, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. PST.
As an example of the potential savings, a flight from Chicago (MDW) to Orlando (MCO) which was originally priced at $229 is discounted to $166 with the promotional code added. Travelers will see the discount applied when the price turns green on the website, and the original price is struck through.
Other examples include flights from Boston, MA (BOS) to Tampa, FL (TPA) which are originally $254, discounted to $185, and a flight from Burbank, CA (BUR) to Las Vegas, NV (LAS) for $131 discounted to $95.
The promotional code may also be helpful for travelers exploring the Hawaiian Islands on a spring break or early summer getaway. During the travel duration of April 28, 2025 through May 21, 2025, the promotional code can be used on inter-island travel. For example, a flight from Honolulu, HI (HNL) to Hilo, HI (ITO) is discounted from $70 to $58 with the promotional code applied.
The sale has several date and destination restrictions, so travelers should carefully review the terms and conditions before booking, and the discount does not apply to government taxes or fees.
“Discount availability may vary by destination, flight, and day of the week and won’t be available on some flights that operate during very busy travel times and holiday periods,” Southwest shares about the discounts.
The promotional sale comes just days after Southwest Airlines announced a partnership with Expedia Group, in which the online travel agency will sell tickets on Southwest flights.
