Sun Retreats Lancaster County has been named one of the top 10 campgrounds in the United States, ranking third in the 2025 Campspot Awards.
The annual recognition by the national campground booking platform Campspot highlights premier outdoor destinations across North America based on guest experiences, amenities, and booking data.
The Narvon, Pennsylvania, campground secured its No. 3 spot among hundreds of contenders, following Verde Ranch RV Resort in Arizona and Broad River Campground in North Carolina, which ranked first and second, respectively.
Sun Retreats was also recognized in the Top Glamping Campgrounds category, emphasizing its appeal to a broad range of outdoor enthusiasts.
The Campspot Awards, now in their fourth year, evaluate campgrounds using over 3 million data points. Factors such as guest ratings, reservation patterns, park features, and marketplace listing quality contribute to the rankings.
The awards aim to spotlight properties that offer exceptional outdoor experiences, catering to both traditional campers and those seeking upscale amenities.
Campspot Chief Marketing Officer Erin Stender emphasized the significance of the awards in showcasing the evolving landscape of camping. “The Campspot Awards aim to recognize those parks that are delivering outstanding guest experiences and embodying the spirit of modern camping,” Stender said in a news release.
Winners in the 2025 rankings represent a diverse range of outdoor hospitality options. Verde Ranch RV Resort, the top-ranked campground, is known for its red rock scenery and access to Arizona’s Verde River.
