It’s Presidents Day weekend, which is probably the least exciting federal holiday, but, oddly enough, an opportune time to find some of the best online shopping deals on cookware, home goods, and kitchen accessories. I mean good deals, not a spartan 10 or 15 percent off; when I am shopping a sale, I expect the savings to compensate for, say, the exorbitant price of eggs. I look for a robust 40-percent-and-above deal, rare discounts on luxury kitchen appliances, and the kinds of price tags that harken back to the dysfunctional-yet-thrilling glory years of mall-bound parents ripping Gameboys out of one another’s hands on Black Friday. Were we ever so innocent?

Crawl out from the ruins of your Super Bowl snack stadium, and behold the following trifecta of meaty deals that Eater’s shopping team has sniffed out for this Presidents Day weekend.

Sur La Table Is Offering Up to $100 Off KitchenAid Stand Mixers

KitchenAid has been in the stand mixer game for over a century, quietly but firmly cementing its place as the gold standard appliance in its field. As Corey Baldwin writes for Eater in this KitchenAid retrospective, the Art Deco-inspired workhorses are so universally adored by home cooks, bakers, and industry professionals that “people get its likeness tattooed on their bodies.” Sur La Table is offering up to $100 off stand mixers this weekend, as well as pasta-maker attachments and handheld mixer options.

Whether you’re shopping on a budget or have limited kitchen space, KitchenAid’s mini mixer — which can still handle an impressive 3.5 quarts of your finest mashed potatoes — is a serious help (and countertop flex) with a hand tilt-head function. It’s also on sale in the classic Empire Red colorway, and includes a flex-edge beater that scrapes the sides of the bowl while it mixes. Talk about a multitasker.

KitchenAid’s 5-quart stand mixer will definitely handle a commune’s worth of cookie dough batter. I also can’t explain what the Juniper colorway does to my brain, exactly, but it feels like a welcome mental ice bath.

Williams Sonoma’s Up-to-75-Percent-Off Presidents Day Sale

Williams Sonoma came to mince pies, not words, when it comes to its Presidents Day discounts. The site is offering up to 75 percent off all kinds of cool stuff, like Silpats, fancy knives, and up 50 percent off Staub cookware,

Staub Enameled Cast-Iron Everything Braiser (3.5 Quart).

You know what it feels like to have the perfect winter coat, the kind with just enough wiggle room and layering capacity? That’s kind of what it’s like to have a dedicated braiser, which makes all the stirring and scooping of pot roast preparation that much more seamless thanks to its shallower design. Staub’s durable, enameled cast-iron braiser even comes with a viewing window (glass lid).

Silpats (Set of 2).

As Eater’s deputy editor Monica Burton explains, “A brand new set of non-stick Silpat mats — which can act as a no-grease baking surface in the oven, or as a mat for rolling dough — will make [your] next oven project that much easier.”

Zwilling Pro Rocking Santoku Knife (5.5-inch).

Really nice, chef-worthy knives don’t have to cost hundreds of dollars. Zwilling’s rocking santoku knife is designed to cut and chop that much faster thanks to its curved shape, and a sweet 5-incher like this would be perfect for attacking garlic cloves.

The Cult-Fave Mill Food Recycler Is $125 Off

Ah, Mill. You (yes, we’re looking at you, square in your bone-crushing eyes) make one of the most intriguing non-ugly trash can-turned-food-recyclers on the market. The nearly $1,000 price tag of this sleek machine is hard to swallow, but, again, it will quite literally dry and grind your food — from turkey bones to avocado pits — while you sleep. The luxury bin is on sale for this weekend only, and while it’s one hell of an investment, it sure would have some serious environmental (and time-saving) benefits.
