With Marvel Rivals Season 1, there are 8 Strategists to choose from. Each of them is a viable and efficient option that will aid the team in underappreciated ways that can truly change the tide of warfare against the opposing team. However, the best Strategists in Marvel Rivals will provide a superior option that can not only heal the team effectively but also deal out some lethal damage themselves and get quite a few assists.

While some of the best heroes in Marvel Rivals can change the structure of the game with their ultimate, these heroes are a tad underwhelming.
While not everyone will agree on the ranking of every Strategist in Marvel Rivals, it’s important to understand that each of them has a place in the winner’s circle for Quickplay and Competitive, but there’s an argument to be made that some are superior to others.

Perhaps the most infamous, adorable, and sinister Strategist is Jeff the Land Shark, a cute creature that should never be underestimated with his evil streak. Jeff the Land Shark is primarily a healer who isn’t going to provide the team with incredible damage, but with his healing capabilities, fast mobility, and Healing Bubbles, Jeff is going to juggle keeping the team alive while also ensuring he can’t be targeted himself.
While Jeff is indeed a competent choice for a Strategist, his damage output means that if he is singled out or attacked, and his mobility abilities are expunged, then he’s in for a bad time. That is unless Jeff uses his Ultimate to eat the enemy team and spit them off the edge, which has been the catalyst of many Ace plays.

A Competent Healer Who Can Revive Himself and His Team
Difficulty |

Quantum Magic |

Soul Bond Avatar Life Stream Cosmic Cluster Regenerative Cocoon |

Karmic Revival |
Team-Up Abilities |
Soul Perseverance |
With Quantum Magic at his side, Adam Warlock is a capable healer who can both revive fallen allies and dish out some lethal damage. Adam Warlock provides the arena with long-range support thanks to his staff, which will both provide a burst of damage to enemies and a burst of healing to allies. Adam Warlock is a tad slow, so the best way to stay alive with Adam Warlock is by sticking with the team, because if they live – so does Adam Warlock.
Adam lacks the necessity to stay alive on his own, and while his Regenerative Cocoon allows him to reforge his body upon death, it’s not going to be very useful against an entire enemy team. Where Adam Warlock really shines isn’t even his damage or healing output, but his Karmic Revival Ultimate, which will see him revive all fallen allies to keep the fight going.

The God of Mischief and a total nuisance, Loki excels at chaos and annoying enemies with his deceptive illusions, which will see Loki constantly fill the battlefield with mirages of himself that can cause damage, distract enemies, and provide Loki with a vessel to escape into if he is being attacked. Loki is extremely deceptive to fight against, as trying to find the real Loki can be a pain that results in every flank and diver’s death.

Marvel Rivals: 9 Best Characters For Flanking, Ranked
Characters such as the Invisible Woman and Psylocke are ideal for flanking the enemy team from all sides in Marvel Rivals.
With Loki’s Mystical Missile staff, he can deal pretty decent damage and healing without too much swapping, but the main focus of Loki’s skill comes from the Doppelgangers and its synergy with Regeneration Domain to create Rune Stones that provide instant health and immunity. Being able to constantly use Doppelgangers to place an array of Regeneration Domain Rune Stones will disrupt the enemy team’s attempt for a push, and the God of Mischief Ultimate will allow Loki to target an enemy or an ally to steal their own abilities for a short duration for some lethal and aggressive play.

A small and deadly package, Rocket Raccoon uses his rather heavy gun to provide long-range support by firing out efficient healing orbs from afar, while also providing shield packs and revives at the B.R.B. station. Rocket also benefits from his small size, allowing him to be a mobile and fast target that’s hard to hit, and easy to contest the point, but his Bombard Mode main damage isn’t too reliable against heroes, and his main function lies in support.
With a Team-Up ability with Punisher and Winter Soldier, Rocket Raccoon can provide a short duration of infinite ammo that makes pushing the enemy that much more rewarding. When combined with his rather weak Ultimate, the team can have a short radius of a 40% damage buff that will really help them to get involved in the fight.

From Shadow to Light |
Inseparable and intertwined, Cloak and Dagger become two sides of the same coin as a Strategist, providing the battlefield with efficient havoc and healing. Cloak and Dagger each have their own abilities, allowing players to come in and out of them to ensure that they are always focused on what’s best for their team. To start, Dagger is the more healer-orientated character that players will want to use to keep their allies alive, which is easily done with her Lightforce Dagger ability that can bounce off of objects to heal allies and track enemies to damage them.
The synergy between Cloak and Dagger might be hard to pull off for some, but doing so well will see a replenishment of abilities to allow further effectiveness. For players who want to heal, they can focus on Dagger, but for players who are in trouble or want to focus purely on kills, try out Cloak. Where the two come into power is in the use of Eternal Bond, which provides high mobility in the form of rapid dashes that will heal allies and damage enemies to whoever is within the radius, and it can easily be used to stop a team wipe or cause one.

Marvel Rivals Season 1 brings forth the Invisible Woman, who can be used for more tactical heals thanks to her passive abilities to evade the enemy by turning invisible without a trace. Her elusive playstyle makes her great for healing allies while minimizing the risk of herself being targeted. Even if players do target the Invisible Woman, her higher health, Guardian Shield, and invisible-granting double jump give her an easy exit.

Marvel Rivals has launched and already some characters, such as the Punisher and Iron Fist have frustrated members of the community.
Invisible Woman is a great Strategist for players who want to have a mixture of damage and healing, as players can easily build heals for the team while still being a competent choice for damage output. Sue can create damaging and slowing energy fields to disrupt the enemy team, while also creating points of control with her Guardian Shield to always keep the team alive and help influence a push for the objective.

Nature’s Soul |
Mantis is an incredible Strategist, but she definitely requires player attention and focus to perfectly juggle her abilities to both keep the team alive and maximize their damage output. Mantis revolves around her Life Orbs, where she can place a healing orb onto any of her allies for some slow-building healing. Mantis can also use this Life Orb to inspire, causing a damage boost that will help her with assisting the team’s damage.
While Life Orbs are capped at 4, they regenerate every 3 seconds or upon a headshot with Mantis’s pretty deadly Life Energy Blast. This means that an effective Mantis can have a Life Orb on all their allies to both provide healing and Inspire to cause more damage. Healing allies over time and putting enemies to sleep with her Spore Slumber makes her an efficient and tactical Strategist who can cancel Ultimates, single out enemies, and juggle healing among the entire team.

The battlefield can become Luna Snow’s stage as she engulfs everyone in the power of pop and ice. Luna Snow’s abilities are all about enhancing allies, depowering enemies, and obtaining key rewards thanks to her duo of passives, which lets her heal over time with Cryo Heart, and move faster than other heroes thanks to Smooth Skate’s 60% movement speed, allowing her to catch up to allies faster than others. With her secondary fire, Luna Snow can deal chunks of damage that also freeze enemies in place, whereas her primary fire will allow her to damage enemies and heal allies alike
Thanks to her freezing powers, she can counter dives, Ultimates, and Vanguards to pin them down and help the team eradicate them. With her incredible selection of abilities, Luna Snow is made unstoppable with her Ultimate, Fate of Both Worlds, which has a toggle between healing and damage boosts. However, it’s always effective to keep the healing option on because it causes around 250HP a second, meaning there’s no killing anyone who is within the area of this Ultimate, allowing Luna to truly topple the game and save her friends.
