The Boys is currently in production on its fifth season, which will serve as the last for the superhero satire series. It remains to be seen how the final episodes will unfold, but it can be expected that they will be taking some inspiration from current events.

Colby Minifie, known in part for her role as Ashley Barrett in the hit show, recently spoke with Grae Drake of CBR at South by Southwest (SXSW) in an interview to promote her new horror film, The Surrender. She touched on The Boys, though she couldn’t state anything specific about what’s to come for her character in Season 5. Like previous seasons, however, Minifie suggested that current events in the real world have led to some script changes for the final season.
