The Four Bells Glamping in Hawstead has been named a finalist for the Muddy Stilettos Suffolk and Cambridge Awards 2025, marking its second consecutive year in the competition’s Best Boutique Stay category.

The site, which won the award last year, is run by Alex and Lucy Brewis and has been operating since July 2023.

For business owners in the glamping sector, the recognition highlights the value of guest satisfaction and community engagement in building a strong brand.

According to Alex Brewis, returning to the finals is a testament to their approach. “Being nominated and getting to the finals means a huge amount to us and tells us that we must be doing something right,” he said.

With the awards relying on public votes, customer loyalty plays a critical role in securing industry accolades.

Glamping businesses looking to enhance their visibility can take a cue from The Four Bells’ strategy—delivering a high-quality guest experience while maintaining a strong connection with their customer base.

As Brewis noted in a report by Suffolk News, “We couldn’t do it without our guests voting with their feet, and now with their computers.” The ability to turn satisfied guests into active supporters is an important factor in gaining industry recognition.

For professionals in the outdoor hospitality industry, award nominations like these offer more than just prestige; they provide a marketing advantage and reinforce credibility.

With increasing competition in the glamping sector, securing industry recognition can help businesses stand out and attract new guests.

The Four Bells’ consecutive nominations demonstrate the power of a consistent guest experience, community engagement, and leveraging customer feedback to maintain relevance in a competitive market.

As the industry continues to grow, operators who focus on quality, guest engagement, and strategic brand positioning can strengthen their market presence and increase their chances of industry recognition.
