Naughty Dog confirmed The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered‘s PC release date of April 3, 2025, during The Game Awards 2024. That announcement was also when the studio promised PC-specific features, though it didn’t detail what exactly those would be at the time. Story-Heavy Games To Play If You Like The Last Of Us Part 2
Naughty Dog’s The Last Of Us Part 2 is one of the most story-heavy games around, and these other games will scratch a similar itch.
Naughty Dog revealed The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered‘s PC specs on March 20. On the low end, the game will reach a 720p resolution at 30 FPS, while the highest graphical settings will deliver 4K at 60 FPS. That’s on par with The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered‘s PS5 Pro enhancements, though it’ll take some serious hardware to support that. Naughty Dog recommends an RTX 4080 or RX 7900XT and 32GB of RAM to reach peak performance. Compared to that, the minimum requirements to run the game are fairly tame, asking for a GTX 1650 or RX 5500XT and 16GB of RAM.

The PC port will also have support for frame generation and upscaling from both Nvidia and AMD, as well as aspect ratios of up to 48:9 for ultra-widescreen and triple-monitor setups. Its promised PC-specific features are mostly visual upgrades and settings, including adjustable texture quality, volumetric quality, shadow quality, ambient occlusion, and reflections. Keyboard and mouse users will be able to fully remap their controls, and there’s an option to combine keyboard and gamepad inputs, too. For those who’d rather use a controller, the game will deliver full haptic feedback on the DualSense. That’s great news for anyone who bought one of Sony’s new limited edition Last of Us DualSense controllers and wants to get their money’s worth out of it.
Naughty Dog’s announcement also gives fans a fresh look at the log-in bonuses they can get from connecting their PSN account on PC. Sony had previously said The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered would require a PSN account on PC but has since walked that requirement back and is instead offering anyone who does use their account some in-game freebies. These include a skin for Ellie, giving her a jacket from the upcoming Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet and 50 points to spend on bonus features.
