Warning: This article contains spoilers for The Masked Singer season 13, episode 3, “Rat Pack Night.”
The Group A finale on The Masked Singer Wednesday night flew us to the moon and back — literally.
The episode kicked off with a performance of the Frank Sinatra classic, which resident crooner Robin Thicke started before finalists Ant, Coral, and Paparazzo dropped in to take over. The night was a tribute to the Rat Pack, which meant the contestants each sang songs either by or frequently associated with the legendary group of performers, and all of the clue packages likewise connected to them in some way.
The episode also served as the first group finals of the season, and as host Nick Cannon informed the audience, it looked a little bit different than in season 12. Last time, unless the Ding Dong Keep It On Bell got used, two people had to go home from each group. This season, only one person leaves, meaning each group will have two contestants move on to what the show is dubbing the “Lucky 6” episode later this season. In order to determine who is eliminated, the bottom two must face off in a Battle Royale.
After all that was explained, Coral took the stage first and sang “Luck Be a Lady” by Sinatra. About halfway through, she gave it a modern edge, and as panelist Rita Ora put it, in so doing she took a classic and made it her own.

After the panel took another stab at guessing her identity, they and Cannon did a bit where they picked their favorite Rat Pack members. This prompted Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg to say she would like the show to do a Nick Cannon theme night, and before Ken Jeong could make the joke we all know he was dying to make, Cannon himself beat him to the punch and quipped, “There would be a lot of kids up in here.”
From there, Ant sang “Fever” by Peggy Lee and Paparazzo crooned “That’s Amore” by Dean Martin (which McCarthy-Wahlberg loved because it gave her an excuse to eat some tasty-looking pizza).
Apparently the audience loved it too, because the first one through to the Lucky 6 was Paparazzo, which meant Coral and Ant were sent to the first Battle Royale of the season to do their own renditions of Sinatra’s “My Way.”

Before the final elimination could be announced, the episode had one final bonkers twist, and Lucky Duck finally made his grand entrance with — what else? — a hilarious quack at Cannon. “You guys are all a bunch of quacks,” he told the baffled panel. “This season is supposed to be lucky, but your luck is already running out. I’m here to get you back on quack. That’s right, I’m Detective Lucky Duck. I’ll be bringing clues, surprises, and good fortune throughout the season, and just to help all of you, I discovered something very interesting. The two remaining singers have both been on chart-topping No. 1 albums.”
As he said all this, Jeong couldn’t contain his laughter at the absurdity, but paused long enough to ask a very good question: “What kind of accent is that?” Speaking to Entertainment Weekly before season 13 aired, Ora teased that there would be lots of little clues along the way to Lucky Duck’s true identity, which will be revealed later this season. So pay attention, armchair detectives, because the game is afoot now!
With a final dramatic flourish of his cape and a quack, Lucky Duck departed, and it was revealed that Coral would be joining Paparazzo in the final six. This meant that Ant’s time on the show was sadly up, but thankfully, it was finally time to see who she really was.
Ora gave her guess of Charli XCX first, Jeong stuck with his pick earlier in the episode of Mel B, McCarthy-Wahlberg picked Evan Rachel Wood, and Thicke chose Aubrey O’Day. In the end, Thicke was the only one who got it right — and when was the last time that happened? (Maybe, as Jeong pointed out, the hat did make him smarter after all.)

Indeed, Ant was revealed to be O’Day, a singer, model, reality television star, and former member of the girl group Danity Kane. Next week, fans can expect an all-new group of five contestants to take to the Masked Singer stage from 8-9 p.m. ET/PT Wednesday on Fox.
