Today at the London Toy Fair, Ravensburger revealed more information about the card sets coming to Disney Lorcana in 2025. At the end of 2024, early plans for new card set releases in 2025 were revealed, and now Ravensburger has given further details, including a first look at an all-new original character and the packaging for Archazia’s Island, the first set being released this year.

Along with this focus on the first set of new Lorcana cards, details were also given for the second set to be released in 2025, Reign of Jafar, a set focused on the return of the evil Jafar from the world of Aladdin. Finishing off the announcements for the day, Ravensburger finally revealed the name of the third set to be released in 2025, along with a release window.

Updates on Archazia’s Island and Beyond

As previously revealed, Archazia’s Island comes to retailers in March and has a focus on cuddly critters. Looking past those furry friends lies an ancient secret for Illumineers to discover. Today, Ravensburger revealed the packaging for the product line for Archazia’s Island, which gives a glimpse at Archazia, a character original to Disney Lorcana.

The new set of cards includes two new starter decks, booster packs, an Illumineer’s Trove, and a Lilo gift set as well as a smattering of accessories from card sleeves to deck boxes and playmats, all featuring art from franchises focused on in Archazia’s Island. The Lilo gift set was detailed back at the beginning of December, with a description of the contents as well as product images, but the specifics of the Archazia’s Island packaging remained a well-kept secret until today.

The next set to be released after Archazia’s Island in 2025 is Reign of Jafar. The title of this next set was revealed back in December as well, but today, Ravensburger gave more details to excited fans. The release date for Reign of Jafar will be Jun. 6, 2025, with Pre-Release events on May 30, 2025. With regard to the set itself, some details regarding the lore of the set was detailed, giving players a hint and the nefarious deeds Jafar has up his sleeve when the set releases later this year.

As Ravensburger put it, “His Crown, His Realm. Jafar has taken over Archazia’s Island, corrupting the beautiful haven into his menacing fortress. His reign may just be the greatest threat that Lorcana has faced!” Illumineers are in for a challenge when they face off against the familiar ruthless villain.

Finally, today Ravensburger gave fans one last tease at the London Toy Fair, giving the name of the set that will follow Reign of Jafar. Set for release in Q3 2025, Fabled will be the next Lorcana card set. An image was also released to showcase the title of the new set, but beyond that, fans will have to guess what will be included while they wait for Ravensburger to give further details.

Disney Arcana is a collectible trading card game for two players published by Ravensburger and co-created by Ryan Miller and Steve Warner. The game will release expansions as “chapters,” with the first chapter arriving with three different starter decks to play with.
