Warning: This article contains spoilers about the The Traitors season 3 finale.
The Traitors season 3 finale kicked off with some major Roundtable drama, but finished with the largest group of winners so far, essentially all singing “Kumbaya” and reveling in the glory of their collective victory.
But all was not so jolly when things first picked up from last week’s cliffhanger. After a vote to banish either Danielle Reyes or Lord Ivar Mountbatten ended up in a tie, the players were instructed to revote. However, this time Britney Haynes — believing Dolores Catania had changed her vote to Danielle — voted out her Big Brother Reindeer Games castmate, adding yet another chapter to their almost Shakespearean history of betrayal.

The Britney and Danielle drama first began when the former orchestrated the latter’s Reindeer Games elimination on a Big Brother hamster wheel maze, even though another player (Taylor Hale) volunteered to do the challenge instead of Danielle. So for Britney to cast the deciding vote and end her fellow Traitor Danielle’s dreams for reality TV glory yet again was a shocking sight.
“Dani, I thought my vote wouldn’t save you,” Britney cried
“You did it to me again,” a despondent Danielle replied.
“No, I didn’t do it to you again,” pleaded Britney.
In the end, Danielle was once again left to ponder going out at the hand of her ultimate frenemy. “I feel stupid because I didn’t think Britney would be the nail in my coffin, and I’m embarrassed I made that decision to believe in her,” Danielle said after her banishment. “I should have taken her out. I should have killed her. I messed up.”

That meant that the recently recruited Britney was the final Traitor left. Fortunately for her, she had previously won the power of the Seer, meaning she did not have to divulge her true identity to any of the players. And she played the power perfectly, using it on Gabby Windey and then not trying to frame the former Bachelorette as a Faithful. But it didn’t matter, as Britney was unanimously banished at the finale Roundtable — even though she put up a strong fight against Dylan Efron. “Think of me as the wind blows,” Britney told the others on her way out. “Hope you freeze!”
With Danielle and Britney both gone, that meant there were no Traitors at the final Fire of Truth ceremony, sapping a fair amount of drama from the big conclusion. The only question left was if any of the final four of Dylan, Dolores, Gabby, and Ivar would eliminate each other from sharing in the not exactly staggering $204,300 prize pot.

Spoiler alert: They didn’t… with Dylan noting that it was more fun to win things with others than to win alone, and Dolores saying, “We are not leaving with money, we are leaving with friendships.” Of course, that’s not exactly what people watching a show titled The Traitors may want to hear or see, but such is life in a big Scottish castle.
And even if the final result lacked the drama we witnessed during the first two season endgames, at least we were still able to gaze upon the fabulous fashion of the castle’s sartorially significant host as CGI-enhanced fireworks lit up the sky.
