Among them is the inspiring story of IAS Nidhi Siwach. After facing failure twice, she took extraordinary measures to prepare for the Civil Services Examination (CSE). For six months, she isolated herself in a room, focusing entirely on her preparation. On her third attempt, her hard work paid off, and she secured an impressive AIR 83.

Nidhi Siwach’s Educational Background

Nidhi Siwach, from Haryana, excelled academically from a young age, achieving 95 per cent in her Class 10 and 90 per cent in her Class 12 board examinations. She pursued a BTech in Mechanical Engineering from Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University in Sonipat and later joined Tech Mahindra in Hyderabad as a design engineer. In 2017, she resigned from her job to dedicate all her time to preparing for the UPSC exam, driven by her passion for public service.

Nidhi Siwach’s IAS Journey

Nidhi dedicated six months for studies by isolating herself from the outside world to maximise her focus and preparation. She chose English as the medium for the examination and History as her optional subject.

Reportedly, she locked herself in a room for six months to concentrate on her studies and avoid outside distractions. In 2018, on her third attempt, Nidhi achieved AIR 83 in UPSC. She is currently serving in Gujarat as an IAS officer.

Without a doubt, passing the UPSC exam is one of the most challenging feats in India. Success in this examination is not solely about intelligence but also serves as a gateway to the prestigious position of an IAS officer.
