Timberline Glamping is set to expand its presence with a new location in Amelia Island State Park, scheduled to open in mid-to-late March 2025.
According to a press release, the site will introduce seven accommodations, including six safari-style tents and a 33-foot geodesic dome, designed to provide a balance between outdoor immersion and upscale comfort.
As the glamping sector continues to grow, business owners and operators in the outdoor hospitality industry may find Timberline’s expansion strategy noteworthy.
By incorporating amenities such as en suite bathrooms, climate control, and wellness services, the brand is catering to a market segment that prioritizes both nature and luxury.
The inclusion of an on-site sauna, cold plunge area, private massages, and IV therapy infusions further differentiates this location from traditional camping experiences.
Operating partner Felipe Oliveira attributes his decision to enter the glamping space to a personal experience, where he recognized the demand for a more comfortable outdoor stay.
“This venture is about more than luxury camping—it’s about creating spaces where families can grow closer and make lasting memories while enjoying the beauty of nature,” Oliveira said.
His collaboration with Junior Saint-Val, a pastor and community leader, highlights the importance of values-driven entrepreneurship within the glamping industry.
Beyond accommodations, the Amelia Island location will offer outdoor activities such as horseback riding, kayaking, paddleboarding, and electric bike rides.
A 24-hour self-checkout camp store will enhance guests’ convenience. These experiential offerings align with a broader trend in outdoor hospitality, where operators are seeking to provide curated and customizable experiences to differentiate their properties.
For business owners considering expansion, Timberline Glamping’s model presents an example of how integrated wellness, adventure, and premium accommodations can shape guest expectations. As the industry evolves, properties that emphasize a seamless blend of comfort and outdoor recreation may gain a competitive edge in the market, which is backed by MC Hospitality Highlight’s September 2024 report.
