Vixen Composites, a brand under Airxcel, has introduced FibroSupreme, a new fiber-reinforced plastic (FRP) product designed for RV exterior walls.

The 0.055-inch FRP sheet provides an economical option for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) while maintaining performance and durability standards.

Gordon Frost, business unit manager for Vixen Composites, said the company aimed to expand its FRP portfolio with a cost-effective solution. “From the very beginning of Vixen Composites, we have worked to build a complete portfolio of FRP offerings in both coils and cut-to-size parts,” Frost said.

“Vixen’s FibroSupreme FRP at 0.055” achieves the economical target while maintaining the performance and durability expectations that many RV OEMs have been wanting and have come to expect from Vixen Composites FRP,” Frost added.

According to the company, FibroSupreme is 22% thicker than traditional 0.045-inch FRP, helping to conceal seams and imperfections in RV exteriors. The product is also 20% stiffer than 0.045-inch FRP, offering enhanced rigidity.

Vixen Composites noted that FibroSupreme demonstrates a 20% to 30% improvement in bending strength compared to 0.045-inch FRP. The company said these enhancements provide structural advantages while maintaining cost efficiency for manufacturers.

The introduction of FibroSupreme aligns with Vixen Composites’ ongoing efforts to diversify its FRP offerings. Vixen Composites has been part of the Airxcel family since 2016.

Airxcel, headquartered in Wichita, Kansas, designs, manufactures, and distributes products for the RV industry. The company operates 14 facilities across the U.S. and Europe.
