The National Weather Service is forecasting a light freeze in San Antonio Friday night, with low temperatures between 28 to 32 degrees.
Chances of precipitation are up for most of San Antonio, but portions of the North Side of San Antonio could see patchy, freezing rain overnight into early Saturday morning.
This should be the last freeze over the next week, although it’ll still be cold Saturday, residents can expect it to warm back up Sunday through Wednesday, according to the NWS.
The cold blast has canceled the annual Basura Bash volunteer trash clean up event and rescheduled it for March 8.

The resilience hub provides a safe and warm place to stay overnight, access to bathrooms, basic supplies, charging stations and free wi-fi. Residents are encouraged to bring clothing, personal supplies and necessary medicines.
