In both the original version of the game for the Wii U and the new Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition for the Switch, the game has been rated T in the US and PEGI 12+ in Europe. However, the European version of the Switch release has a new content warning that wasn’t there on the Wii U version. Previously, the game had warnings for violence and bad language, but now a sex content warning has been added to the list. While some fans would have likely preferred to experience the original uncensored version of Xenoblade Chronicles X, it seems that Monolith Soft and Nintendo stuck to their plan of basing Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition off the censored western release.
