Yosemite National Park has announced a delay in the sale of summer reservations for several campgrounds, affecting visitors planning trips during peak travel months.

According to ABC News, the impacted campgrounds include Upper Pines, Lower Pines, North Pines, Wawona, and Hodgdon Meadow.

The delay affects reservations from June 15 to July 14. Officials stated they aim to release the sites as soon as possible and will provide at least a seven-day advance notice before making them available for booking.

“Park is delaying the sale of camping nights for five campgrounds. This delay affects reservations from June 15 – July 14. We understand the impact this has on visitors who are planning camping trips to the park. We are grateful for your patience,” the park stated.

The park aims to make campground nights available as soon as possible and plans to give at least a seven-day advance notice before reservations open. The notice will be shared on the park’s website and social media channels.

According to its website, Yosemite National Park offers a wide range of activities for visitors looking to explore its landscapes. Hiking is one of the most popular ways to experience the park, with over 750 miles of trails that lead to scenic vistas, waterfalls, and granite cliffs.

For those who prefer to explore on wheels, biking is a great way to see the park, with rental options available and designated bike paths to follow. Picnic areas are conveniently scattered throughout Yosemite, allowing visitors to take a break and enjoy a meal surrounded by nature.

Rock climbing enthusiasts will find no shortage of challenges, as Yosemite is known as one of the world’s premier climbing destinations, with routes suited for both beginners and experienced climbers.

Evening activities in Yosemite are just as rewarding as daytime adventures. Stargazing is a must, as the park’s remote location offers some of the darkest skies in the region, making it an ideal spot to observe the stars.

Water activities also provide a refreshing way to experience the park, with rafting along the Merced River being a popular summer pastime. Visitors can also enjoy fishing, swimming, and boating, making Yosemite a year-round destination filled with outdoor recreation opportunities.
